The advent of high-speed rail transport, exemplified by the TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse), has significantly catalyzed economic growth in the Île-de-France region and its neighboring areas. The implementation of the TGV network has notably contributed to the stimulation of the tourism industry through a substantial reduction in travel time and enhanced connectivity with neighboring countries.

For instance, the direct TGV connections between Paris and cities such as Brussels and Amsterdam have considerably shortened travel durations, making the Île-de-France region a more accessible and appealing destination for international tourists. The improved efficiency and speed of TGV services have not only attracted a higher volume of visitors but have also facilitated smoother business interactions, fostering economic development.
